ADDRESS: Offutt Base Lake, Harlan Lewis Rd. Bellevue
DIRECTIONS: There
are no numbers, just Harlan Lewis Road., so map quest that for
directions from your homes. If that doesn't work best way to get there
is to be on Hwy 370, follow that thru old town Bellevue until you see
Hancock St. at Hancock turn RIGHT, follow that down for
approximately 3 miles, then turn left, cross railroad tracks, turn
right and follow that until the road ends. You are there! We will be in
the building that is on the left, likely the noisiest one! A
few landmarks that might help: You will see a large mobile
home subdivision, you will also see the Offutt flight line from
the Hancock road, you will start wondering if you went to far
at some point, you then have about 30 seconds before you need to
turn. We will have large yellow posters
staked out along the route with HSHS event on them. Follow the arrows
on the signs. Posters will start on Hwy 370 and Hwy 75
intersections. SIGNS ARE WEATHER PERMITTING
ONLY.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATING IN
HSHS HOMECOMING
PURCHASING A TICKET MEANS YOU AGREE TO
ACCEPT AND FOLLOW THESE RULES
- There will
be NO refunds for Homecoming tickets. If
you forget to come, don’t get the night off work ahead of time, are
running REALLY late (past 8 PM), are wearing jeans, or just decide to
go do something else you will NOT receive a refund under ANY
circumstances.
- HOMECOMING ATTENDEES AGREE TO READ
AND FOLLOW THE OFFICIAL HSHS DRESS CODE POLICY AS FOLLOWS: All teens and their parents are encouraged
to consider the feelings and perspectives of others when dressing for
an HSHS event. Some of our families do feel strongly about the
importance of a much more conservative appearance and we do not wish to
make anyone uncomfortable under any circumstances. That being said, all
teens MUST have the approval (and awareness) of their own parents
when making their clothing choices for an event. If another parent
feels a student’s outfit is questionable, it is probably better to
choose something more appropriate, however the teen’s PARENT
has the final decision. In the event that another parent or
teen finds fault with the clothing choices of another teen, please
contact the event coordinator, Mrs. Cahill, or Mrs. Wagster with the
teen’s name. HSHS will gladly forward the parent’s phone number of the
teen in question and you may address your concerns with that parent privately.
Again, please remember the basic reason we all homeschool is so that
we, as parents, retain the right to decide how our children are raised
according to the values, beliefs, and standards of our own family.
Please respect the right of other parents to raise their children how
they see fit, just as you enjoy the same privilege, and recognize that
we can’t all agree on everything all of the time!
- Doors close
at 8 PM! Everyone attending
Homecoming must be inside the event NO LATER than 8 PM. NO EXCEPTIONS. After 8 PM you will NOT be allowed
admittance and there will be NO REFUND if you are late and can’t get
in. If you get lost, call Mrs. Wagster’s cell at 699-2455 with enough
time to get directions and get to the event before 8 PM.
- Once you leave the
building you will NOT be allowed back in under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
This is for the safety of our teens; we can’t have people in and out of
the building. Once you are in, you are in for the evening. Once you
leave, you leave for the evening. No one will be allowed in and out, or
to and from cars all night. In the event of an emergency, a chaperone
will gladly will escort you to your car.
- Public
Displays of Affection: We ask that you respect the comfort level
of those around you and refrain from kissing and other overtly public
displays of affection. We will also ask that everyone refrain from
“grinding” dance moves. If there are ANY problems with PDA your parents
will be called to come pick you up, EVEN IF YOU DROVE YOURSELF!
Remember, a phone number is required at the time of ticket
registration!
- Teens: We have never had any behavior problems
that couldn’t be corrected with a short chat. You will receive ONE (1)
verbal warning (short chat) from Mrs. Wagster or Mrs. Cahill about
behavior that needs addressed. Any further behavior problems of any
kind indicate to us that you would rather be escorted home by your
parents. We aren’t kidding, we expect you to behave appropriately so a
fantastic and fun time can be had by
all!

Photographs:
Photographer Tom
Wandel will again take photos! He does an AWESOME job and is VERY
AFFORDABLE! You can get packages as low as $10.00 to commemorate your
homecoming experience! Parents are not permitted in to take photos
inside the event. PLEASE take all photos at home, dinner or outside the
building on the lake. Once the teens are inside the photography area is
for the PHOTOGRAPHER ONLY! Teens may bring cameras for candid shots
only.
Music DJ:
Shawn Farrell and
Sons (same as all other dances) will be our DJ again. He plays
everything LOUD, so parents and Teens expect LOUD dance music. If loud
music upsets you in any way, we encourage you to consider choosing an
alternate HSHS event to enjoy with your friends. He encourages requests
so if you have a song you want to hear REQUEST it! All music is radio
edited and he has tons of great selections. For those who are
interested he also has Christian songs, but like everything else it is
played on request.
Homecoming Nominations:

Your 2007 Homecoming Court
Nominations will be held Aug. 20-25. You may nominate only once, when
nominating you may select a SENIOR guy and girl for King and Queen,
while also selecting a freshman, sophomore, and junior guy and girl for
the court. Send all nominations to Mrs Wagster at pjwag68@yahoo.com
or speak to her face to face, NO PHONE CALLS! We will have 1
set of representatives from each grade level. Then four sets from the
senior class. The teens with the most nominations are the teens that
progress to the court. So, know that if you only get 1 nomination
you are NOT guaranteed a spot on the court. Students may NOT nominate
themselves, and parents are gently reminded that this is a student
activity…parent’s voting will not be allowed.
